Inter-Faith Food Shuttle is accepting applications for the Young Farmer Training Program. The Young Farmer Training Program offers a paid multi-year farming apprenticeship, or an unpaid internship with less time commitments for teenagers ages 15-18 in Wake County. Apprentices and interns will grow and eat vegetables, herbs, mushrooms and flowers on our 6-acre Raleigh farm, understand and design profitable farm plans, market their produce while keeping good records, and teach the community about farming and gardening. Each apprentice receives a monthly stipend, while apprentices and interns receive weekly fresh vegetables, certificate of completion, and future opportunities for scholarships, travel, and managing a small farm enterprise.
